Negishi
Negishi is a custom region for SimCity 4, using a customized custom.bmp and the terraforming tools provided in SC4. All of the content here is either to explain how or why I did a certain thing, or to keep track of what I want to accomplish next with my region. This is actually the 3rd custom terrain region that I've created since Feb 2003 as I've eventually become dissatisfied with one aspect or another of my previous two custom regions (Wuphon's Reach and Wataru).News
Dec-2003 - Only the blank region files will be available for download from now on.Jun-16-2003 - Posted new versions of the city files, region population is at 3.3 million. I've bundled the small and medium size cities together by area so that there are fewer files to download (22 files instead of 53 individual city files).
May-25-2003 - Initial update.
May-30-2003 - Posted first version of the blank region files (see the bottom of this page). I'm pretty happy so far with the way it turned out since there are 3-5 distinct types of terrain (depending on how you count) so the region doesn't feel like one place is just like another.

Negishi - Blank Region Download
Empty region download (total size is 30 Mb): Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3 - Part 4 - Part 5
To install: (1) Create a new directory in your My Documents \ SimCity 4 \ Regions folder called "Negishi". (2) Extract the contents of the zip file(s) to the new folder. (3) Start up SimCity 4 and select Load Region off of the Region View Options menu, Negishi should then show up in the list of regions.
