Car update - Aug 7
Finally got the word that the car has been released from the manufacturer yesterday. According to the car dealer, I should see it in about 10-14 days (which is Aug 16 to Aug 20). Since I'm supposed to leave for vacation on Aug 24, it's cutting it mighty fine (I think I'll be post-poning or re-jiggering my vacation at the last minute because I won't have time to get everything setup in the car for my trip). I'm real close to just re-doing my plans anyway to leave a week later and go the opposite direction (starting in Charlotte and heading up the coastline).Acadia National Park
On a related note, a good friend of mine says that the peak weekend for Acadia is Oct 16. So that may be next year's road trip destination (it will be too soon after this year's road trip to do it this year).
