Yahoo! News - Judge Orders Parents Not to Smoke
This one is kinda on my "bizarro" list, in that in the name of "child protection" the judge is involving himself in the life of another person (many of who are not related to the child at all). While I do agree that smoking around kids is bad; I find the fact that the state (or judicial) is willing to poke their nose in to count as "slippery slope" material (what's next? forcing the parents to only dress a certain way, serve certain foods ... or any other activities where the court can say that to not do so puts the child at risk).

Yes, I remember...

It was a beautiful, sunny day, too. I had just finished a leisurely breakfast at the B and B I was staying at down in North Carolina, packed the car, and headed east over the bridge to the outer banks for one last look at the beach before driving north to Maryland's eastern shore area...
