This and That

Another busy week, spent most of last weekend working on a project that was due in the early week, and the last half of the week trying to teach someone MS-Access. GMail gave me another (6) invites to hand out (hmm... e-mail wuphonsreach@gmail.com if you want one). And I've been spending some of my game time playing Call of Duty on a local clan's server (most members are from Pennsylvania or the surrounding states). Dunno if I'll apply for membership or not, maybe in a few more weeks. It's usually only a handful of folks on the server (4-12), which makes for a different playstyle then some of the larger servers (where you might have 30 players).

Been ignoring the olympics, spending time that I might've spent collecting NBC shows on transferring a few more VHS tapes to DVD before they wear out. Did about one tape per day so far, which puts a good dent in what's left.

Funny story... still hadn't got my PA tax refund back yet. So I've been thinking about calling them up and inquiring. Instead, I get an official tax notice letter in the mail this week (oh heck, am I being audited?). Open it up, finally decipher it after a few minutes. Apparently, TurboTax miscalculated (or I goofed) on figuring what tax was owed to PA vs NY, and I owed another $13 in PA tax. The punchline is that because it took them so long to sort it out, they now owe me $23 in interest in addition to what they already owe me. So I'm getting another $10 back (whee! I can go out for dinner!). Just waiting for the check to arrive now.
