External Data Transcriber

Today's stupid phrase of the day from Las Vegas is "external data transcriber". It's a device that they found attached to the mainframe (chuckle) at the gaming convention that supposed to be a "spy device".

Oh, and because it uses the power supply off of the hard drive that it was hooked to, that's what caused the mainframe to crash when someone starting playing a game.

In-car MP3 CD Players

So, when I took my Focus in for service yesterday I got a complimentary rental car (2005 Focus ZX4 SE 4-door) for the day. The interesting thing was that it came with a factory installed CD player that supported MP3 files.

Kind of a pity they didn't have that option when I bought my car.
