AIM gets the boot


I've pretty much disabled AOL Instant Messenger on my system now. It has a bad habit of chewing up CPU cycles in the background, even when it's *hidden* and not showing at all.

Thanks, but no thanks, AOL. When I minimize an application like a chat client, I expect it to go to sleep, not chew on my CPU while it downloads ads that I'll never see.
